Policy Forum on Renewable Energy–Centered Distributed Energy Proposals for the 21st Presidential Election

The climate crisis is intensifying, yet Korea’s renewable energy deployment remains sluggish. Meanwhile, there is still no clear vision to address regional economic challenges and pressing issues of the energy transition.
In response, the Climate Citizens’ Project proposes the following renewable energy–centered distributed energy policies for the 21st Presidential Election:
▲ Introduction of clear tariff discount incentives to promote electricity demand reduction and load distribution
▲ Introduction of a mandatory solar quota system for local governments
▲ Establishment of grid operation principles to minimize transmission expansion
▲ Raising the 2030 renewable energy deployment target and increasing the budget
▲ Establishment of an independent administrative body to oversee renewable energy–centered power planning, electricity demand management, transparent grid operation, and electricity pricing decisions
We invite your interest and participation.
