Policy Forum on Energy Strategies for AI-Driven Innovation Growth

The new government has made AI-based technological growth and sustainable energy transition a national priority, pursuing “genuine growth” through harmonizing industrial competitiveness with climate crisis response.
As AI technologies spread, energy-intensive industries such as data centers and semiconductors are rapidly expanding, highlighting the importance of electricity demand management and energy infrastructure readiness. The production of high-performance AI chips and the expansion of data infrastructure pose new challenges across carbon emissions and the broader energy policy landscape.
In this context, an integrated approach that combines technological innovation with energy and industrial policy is essential. This forum will explore how sustainable social standards can serve not as a constraint but as the foundation for industrial competitiveness and growth, while discussing directions for national strategy and institutional design.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Daron Acemoglu of MIT, who emphasizes that technological progress does not automatically translate into social advancement, and will provide insights on the intersection of AI, democracy, and energy policy.
We warmly invite your interest and active participation.
