Governance Innovation for Offshore Wind Expansion
Forum on Overseas Cases and Korea’s Practical Strategies

With the recent passage of the Offshore Wind Special Act, new institutions such as the Offshore Wind Committee for inter-ministerial coordination and the Public-Private Council for stakeholder consultation have been established.
For these mechanisms to function effectively, genuine innovation in offshore wind governance is required, along with effective communication among central and local governments, developers, and fishing communities.
This forum will explore practical strategies for Korea by learning from successful international cases, including Taiwan and Denmark, which have introduced and implemented planning-based site designation systems.
We look forward to your interest and active participation.
